Cognition & Co is hosting a networking and information session for psychology students in Johannesburg. We have lined up a number of professionals from the psychological fields to inspire, encourage and support psychology students of any level.
Every year, hundreds of students apply for spaces in coursework masters programmes around the country; unfortunately these spaces are limited and only a handful of students are given the opportunity to continue their journey and become Psychologists. This process is extremely stressful on the students and there is little individual feedback from the universities.
Cognition & Co, with the help of a number of guest speakers, would like to keep students motivated on this difficult journey, as well as show students what alternatives are available to them that may help their applications in the future.
We will be covering topics such as masters applications and interviews, volunteering, alternative means of studying and working, opportunities abroad, networking, mentorship, and preparing for the future.
We look forward to hosting this event and we hope that you will gain some insight into the journey, as well as other opportunities available. This will definitely be the first of many Cognition & Co events. See you there!
