Your Ultra Entry Includes:
Leaving Kingfisher camp with an early start allows us to enjoy the early morning sounds of Africa as we follow well-worn tracks along the banks of the Tugela River. The sun should rise as we begin our first climb up Lantana pass running through acacia trees, tall aloes, giraffe and herds of antelope.
The nice wide well-worn paths allow us to take in all the views as we follow sections of The Berg and Bush like Grand Canyon and Cabbage Tree climb. As we wind our way around the base of Spioenkop Mountain we are eventually forced to attack the summit.
The 1.5 km climb is legendary and well worth it as the views over the Drakensberg mountains and Tugela River far below are breathtaking. You will be rewarded as you continue your journey meandering down the 13 km track back to Emseni Camp via Long Drop pass and Bell Run.
