The Biggest Duck Race in South Africa is Back!
So get All Your Ducks in a Row for the Day at the Duck Race in Tulbagh
Plan a family and friends weekend getaway to the countryside for a good cause when you book your tickets for the annual Day at the Duck Race held at newly renovated Le Reve (previously Essere Lodge) in the idyllic town of Tulbagh on 1st October 2022
Attendees can expect a jam-packed weekend with exciting entertainment, which includes live party music by Me and Mr Green, Three Tons of Fun, and reggae vibes from The Rivertones. Like usual the country style of local producers will be selling their fresh produce and only the best food and wine will be at the market.
But the main attraction is the exciting duck race itself, held on the Saturday afternoon in which all the adopted duck’s race down the “Bointjies” river. The owner of the winning duck in the Main Race will receive R5000 in prize money.
Entrance fees for the day pass range from R250 for adults, R150 for children under 12 and can be purchased on howler.co.za. Kids under 6 are free. Weekend camping costs R2500 per tent (x 2 adults) including participation in the duck race. Corporate packages are also available and a limited number of weekend camping specials for R2500. Children under 6 free with no duck
