Judy Dlamini is a South African businesswoman and the current Chancellor of the University of the Witwatersrand. She also serves as the executive Chairman of the Mbekani Group. Dr. Judy Dlamini will be talking to us about Women overcoming Race, Gender and Social Class in the workplace.
Equality makes economic sense, Dr Judy Dlamini states: “Equality is good for the economy, good for the community and good for our daughters. Having an equal society isn’t simply a favour towards women, and we need to have men alongside us fighting for equality.”
While people assume gender is a women’s issue, men still lead in every sector of society, she explains. “We need to have these conversations with men.
If we are to have change, we need men, and to understand the psyche of the men who believe in us.”
“Equal is the core of the message. You can’t start with the basis that we are different as then you have already lost.”
As always, there will be fantastic prizes up for grabs!
Women in Finance Network is in proud partnership with Allan Gray, Old Mutual Wealth and Chartered Wealth Solutions.
