The Hilton Michaelhouse Old Boys Golf Day has a history that dates back to 1974.
The tournament was created to reignite the fierce rivalry that has simmered between our two schools since our first experience of those unforgettable afternoons on Gilfillan and Meadows. Depending on how old the “boy”, such athletic sports as rugby are too much for one’s lower back/knees/elbows etc., but thankfully most of us can still swing a club with mixed results, and a flagon in celebration/consolation thereafter!
The golf day is a fantastic opportunity to relive fond memories, share cherished stories, reconnect with old friends, and meet new ones. All of this occurs during a brutal competition to see who will raise the Hiltonian Trophy at the end of the day. (Bit of a biased name but it’s engraved and has been with us for many years so as good traditionalists, we are loath to change it).
If you are an old boy living in Gauteng and you’d like to be part of the day, Click “SIGN UP” to put your name down for the day.
