This race has been hosted since 2009, 13 years ago. It is of particular historical significance importance for both South Africa and Eswatini. It reminds us how Manzini was the hub of political resistance in Swaziland. From where the majority of the MK's guerilla operations were launched and celebrated. To highlight this significance as well as expose the participants to key historical sites, the route encircles the city of Manzini, starting in Trelawney Park at the historical Pendray Park.
Ironically, the park was built by the Arch architect of Number 43 Trelawney Park, Solomon Buthongo Masilela.
You are invited to participate for the preservation of our Freedom as well as encouraging freedom for all peoples of the world.
The race has, over the years, been professionally managed by Golden Foot Club, of Manzini. From 2022 a milestone has been recorded - a partnership with the Cape Town Marathon will be unveiled.
