What are the opening times of the Festival?
The Cheese Festival will be open daily from 10am to 6pm.
When and where does the Cheese Festival take place?
From 23 – 25 September 2023 at Sandringham Estate, Stellenbosch.
Are there different ticket options available?
General Access Tickets are available for R250 each, Kids Tickets are available for ages 2 – 12 at R50 each, and Pensioners Tickets are available for ages 60+ at R190 each (ID verification will be required). A weekend pass is also available which gives you access to all 3 days at discounted rate of R550 – a saving of R200!
Is the Cheese Festival suitable for children?
Yes! There will be plenty of activities and entertainment for children of all ages, including a brand new Theme Park featuring classic carnival rides and games. Tickets to the rides at the Theme Park will be sold separately.
What kind of cheeses can I expect to find at the festival?
Cheeses of all varieties can be expected from local and international cheesemakers. Paired with exquisite wines to bring out each cheese’s unique flavours, this is an experience not to be missed.
Are there any activities or workshops at the Cheese Festival?
There will be plenty of culinary experiences, including a tasting room and cooking demonstrations, for you to enjoy. These activities are available at no extra charge, however space will be limited, so get there early to avoid disappointment.
Can I bring my own food and drinks to the festival?
Unfortunately, no outside food and drinks are allowed, however, there will be plenty of food options available for purchase from our exhibitors and vendors. Exceptions will be made for babies/toddlers as well as individuals with valid medical reasons.
Is there parking available at the Cheese Festival?
Yes, free parking is available at Sandringham Estate. We do not condone drinking and driving, so please enjoy responsibly and arrange alternative transport if you intend to consume more than the legal limit.
What payment methods are accepted at the festival?
Each of our exhibitors and vendors will all have their own payment options available so be sure to have your card and cash on hand. SnapScan and Zapper may also be available, depending on that individual exhibitor/vendor’s options.
